Why join CET?
CET partners are largely based in Tower Hamlets, the epicentre of a rejuvenated East London. With easy access to Shoreditch’s creative hub and bustling nightlife, Stratford’s shopping and sporting facilities, Greenwich’s heritage and the natural beauty of Epping Forest, it is the ideal place for a young professional to learn their trade while exploring and enjoying everything East London has to offer.
High performing schools
Now is the ideal time to join one of CET’s programmes. Ofsted has reported a noticeable jump in performance in Tower Hamlets; 92% of primary and 95% of secondary aged students are attending good or outstanding schools, considerably more than just five years ago. The local area’s educational renaissance is in full swing and we want to capitalise on this by attracting the brightest and best graduates to deliver an excellent education for future generations.
A quality education
Successful applicants will experience a dynamic and innovative environment, learning in some of Tower Hamlet’s best schools and alongside some of the country’s best practitioners. The variety of our programmes means any graduate can develop the skills and qualities required to successfully transition into the perfect teaching role.
It’s important to us that every trainee feels supported for the duration of their time with CET. This is why everyone receives a subject specific mentor who will remain with them for the duration of their course. Mentors are all expert practitioners in their specialism and provide bespoke assistance in the trainee’s development of subject specific pedagogy and practice.
In 2016/2017 65% of CET School Direct trainees were rewarded for their hard work with us by securing NQT roles. The reach of our programmes will also enable trainees to build a local network of important and influential contacts across numerous high performing schools.
